Jan 12: We will not go down (Song for Gaza)

Enough said. Bush, claimed 18 months ago in Annapolis, that there would be Peace with Gaza before he left office? What a way to leave office? Can't find any words to describe how much a failure George W Bush has been; but this review of his time pretty much covers all points of his failure

Jan 3: New Year Resolutions

OK, a bit late. but just felt that, you know, better late than never. Anyway, how many of you have set yourselves up with resolutions for the year? I made one a few years back, t'is very easy to keep, in fact, I've kept it ever since, that was, to never make them again. It appears that I was correct in this, it has now been shown that making resolutions is bad for you, not only in the fact that, well, you will never keep it, but that it's bad for your health. SO says the BBC.

Deciding to turn over a new leaf in the new year could do more harm than good, a mental health charity has warned. Mind has urged people not to feel they must start 2009 armed with resolutions for self-improvement. The charity said resolutions which focus on issues such as the need to lose weight or job worries create a negative self-image. Source

I can imagine that the resolution to loose weight is most likely doomed to failure. Job worries, why is that a resolution? no idea, maybe I'l get of my arse and look harder. But I don't think that in it's self will not help too much with the current prevailing economic situation.

They use the forever usefully line, It will create a negative self-image. This is, I bet the same folks who also say, that telling a kid that they have failed and exam could damage their self image for the rest of their lives. What a load of Bull.  You learn from mistakes, you learn from failures it's called learning, it's part of life. You never stop learning. I bet the last thing you learn in life is that there isn't any heaven, but you have no way of telling anyone. My view anyway.

So, now that we are now 3 days into 2009, things are, so far, pretty much the same. Only time will tell.

Sep 23: Marcel Marceau Dies

The greatest Mime artist Marchel Marceau died today at the grand age of 84. so far here is no word as to how he died, but no doubt he has given up trying to get out of the box.. He was most famously know for Bip, pictured to the left. He created this character in 1947, for what reason, well I don't know, but you can read more about him here on his wiki page.

Suffice to say, He left this world without saying a word.

Feb 16: New sign

For many years it was a yellow triangle, with a sort of, what looked like a fan in the middle. This was/is of course your usual radiation sign. The one you wee when you go to get an X-ray. It's not very optrusive. It kind of frendly in a, you know, I'm dangerous, but just be careful when you see me around kind of way. The folks at the International Atomic Energy Authority seem to think that the old yellow triangle is getting a but too friendly and need to change it.

The new symbol is being launched today by the IAEA and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to help reduce needless deaths and serious injuries from accidental exposure to large radioactive sources. It will serve as a supplementary warning to the trefoil, which has no intuitive meaning and little recognition beyond those educated in its significance.

Oh you want to see the new sign? you really do? I mean, it's not going to go down well in Hopitals is it? The way it's now coloured, It's red you see, and we all know what red mean? yes, Danger Danger Danger! Woop Woop (goes some alarm somewhere) Ok. here it is.

Ok, that was the old one, the new one is below....

Are you going to be happy seeing that in your local Hospital? you know, for nuclear examinations... ya, right Doc, you inject me with that stuff and I'll run a mile! My hair will drop out and I'll Diiieee? Well, I see some explaining will need to be done...
