Oh what a surprise, Israel announces a ceasefire in time for Obama's Inauguration. Who would have guess that ? Oh, Olmert won't be able to ring Bush up and ask him to delay the inauguration, like he he did for the UN resolution when Condi Rice was told by Bush via Olmert to abstain.
Israel is to halt its three-week military offensive against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said. He said Israel had achieved its aims and the unilateral ceasefire would start at 0200 (2400 GMT). But he said troops would remain in Gaza for now.

This issue here is, Hamas don't really agree with the fact that the IDF will be lurking around Gaza, would you like to have the IDF in your back yard? I just can't trust what anyone from the IDF say. There was this website, Israeli Defense Force Spokeperson website. Now, this is a very new website. It hasn't been a website that has been around for the purpose telling people what the IDF does.

Read MoreJan 12: We will not go down (Song for Gaza)
Enough said. Bush, claimed 18 months ago in Annapolis, that there would be Peace with Gaza before he left office? What a way to leave office? Can't find any words to describe how much a failure George W Bush has been; but this review of his time pretty much covers all points of his failure
Mar 29: I had a Dream. Another one

Yep, Say no more, as I said, I had a dream. There are of course a few other folks I would like to see in that behind bars.
Aug 9: A WISE OLD MAN
One thing can be said, with reference to global warming and our role (Humans) in it can be understood, Even the native Indians a long time ago knew we had screwed up.
Just read on....
A few years ago someone browsing through the 40th Anniversary Issue of Reader's Digest (dated Feb. 1962) came across this reprint from the Washington News and found it quite interesting in light of our current debates.
The quote reads:
Vice President Lyndon Johnson received the following message from a Native American Indian Chief on a reservation: "Be careful with your immigration laws. We were careless with ours."
Native American Observation Recently an old Indian chief sat in his hut on the reservation, smoking a Ceremonial pipe and eyeing two U. S. Government officials sent by the President to interview him.
"Chief Two Eagles" asked one official, "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done."
The Chief nodded in agreement.
The official continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"
The Chief stared at the government officials for over a minute and then calmly replied, "When white man found the land, Indians were running it. No taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, women did all work, medicine man free, Indian man spent all day hunting and fishing, all night having sex."
Then the chief leaned back and smiled. "Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that."
See, total fools we were, and one could say, that the current US Government still don't listen to wise old men. Mad old men yes, not wise ones
Jul 20: Bush, I'm just checking
So, Bush is to have a colonoscopy on Saturday.
US President George W Bush will have a routine colonoscopy on Saturday, temporarily transferring power to the vice-president, the White House says.
Apparantly this isn't the first one he's had. That was done in 2002. Seems to match really, the 2002 ones was to plug Tony Blair in, and this one for 2007 is, you know, well, to make sure he gets out!
At least now some doc will be able to confirm the rumour that Bush is full of shit or not.
Apr 21: Wrong place at the wrong time
So said Bush, at the memorial cermony at Viginia Tech? No, They were in the right place, in their classes, in college, doing what helps to make the US a greater place? Yes, Mr Bush, it's you who put your stupid big foot in your village idiot gob.
I suppose you come up with the same statement with Soldiers you sent to Iraq? Well, The sooner you leave the safer the world will become, you poodle buddy Blair is leaving his desk in under 2 months, and most likely after a disaster for the labour party in the May elections. Incidently, England, is one of those places where you don't really know that elections are if you are just passing through, It seems to be a very hush hush affair, some leaflets sent to you, no big meetings, no big debates. Anyway, enough on that. I'm just happy that Blair will be gone soon, mind, I don't think I'm gonna think much of the Next guy, A certain Mr Brown.
Mar 30: This explains everything...
Dec 31: This the End.. well soon to be
"What are the seven best things you did this past year?"
Well, 7 of the best things? Not too hard then.. Here goes.
1: Finally getting of the steroids that I've been on for the past 29 years, They were beginning to cause, well, not beginning, they had been for a few years, causing a lot of havoc with everything else but what they were been taken for. Good riddance to them!
2: Very recently, seeing England loose the Ashes so spectacularly that it but a full stop on all this cricket stuff and that the English team of 2005 didn't actually win because they played well, but that they had had a pact with the weather.
3: Seeing Bush loose power in such a democratic way! Now too see him go back to his old job of Village idiot, hopefully he will bring along his pet dog with him.
4: Building up new commercial websites, and well, this is still ongoing, but hopefully to make something more with it.
[After a pause of a few days Internet techie problem, parties and evenings out]
5:Seeing Bush get a serious bashing in the US Mid-terms, Not that I think that much is going to change, at least it' gotten rid of that smog look of his face, oh and a certain Rummy has gone. Hoping to see him ride into the sunset with his poodle and a huge boot out the backside.
6: Seeing Blair the Magnificent start his slow, ( wish it was faster) decline, and seeing him dig his political grave live on TV. I don't think many people believe a word he says any more. Just wish the guy would not keep trying to save himself, but his party.
7: Well, it has been a long year, many events have happened, many people have gone, so good riddance, some, well you would have liked them to have stayed a little longer, but you know in yourself, that time moves on, and we are all left with the good memories of those. For me, as this is about me, I'm glad to have to have made it to the end of this year in one piece. Ok, I have plenty of spare parts, but that's different.
So now to tag a few other people to see what they have to say about their 2006 seven best moments, So, in no particular order.
Keith, Zoe at MBIAT,Karelian Blonde, Guyana Gyal, Anna at That's the way life is, and anyone who would like to share
So reader(s) as 2006 comes to a close, how was it for you? I hope that you like the new theme, it's still being worked on, but I'm sure you will agree with me, that it is a lot faster.
Happy New year, Bonne année, ? ????? ?????, Feliz Año Nuevo, Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar, Nuovo anno felice Lyckligt nytt år and for everyone have a great Hogmanay!! Drink lots and be safe.( I can't vouch for the correctness of the translations)
Sep 23: His doin' the walk
Sep 6: Bush Says...
The first 2 are ones I made myself, the last 3 are what the old fool as said in some of his 'speeches'
I'm guessing over the next few week till November 6th, there will be countless speeches where the words Sept 11th will be mentioned. In fact, I think that's all he will say, maybe a bit of Turrrr'ist as well.
You can make your own here www.says-it.com.
With reference to image 3, I would point Bush to this page Project for the New American Century website were a bunch of mad US politicians wrote a document on what the US should do to guarantee it's future in the long term, by spreading it's version of freedom, it's version of what civilisation should be like. Look where it got us today! A right fine mess I would say.
