this would go down SO well on the continent where you can get served alcohol in a café as of 16 yo. (not all do, but most - and nothing stronger than beer, i think. i don't go out drinking with my kids, you see.)

Another point I could add, is that the UK, to me, feels more animal friendly, than children. There are so many animal refuges, but there are only a very few places where a child can go for safety, refuge from adults. click here
