Jan 4: out an about and no graphics application
This could happen, maybe not out and about, but just out on holiday and have no access to your favourite graphics application and the only one available is the sad excuse that Microsoft provides, you know, Paint.. Well, worry no more. Some cool guys up in Finland have produced a pretty neat website, that has a fully fledged graphics program.
It's very easy to use, you can if you want, have your account on the webiste. You can of course upload images, which is where the application comes into it's own. Just a sneek preview of what you get to play with....
Not much of a review, but I think it's darn neat, can be useful. if you want to make nice wonky images when your bored at the office ? not that I'm recommending that you
Oh you want the URL ? well, here is its... www.sumopaint.com
Go on, give it a try
you know you want to .
Mar 10: The Web and US
Thinking of the net, internet when it was young, there wasn't much one could do. you could write a basic HTML page, it went nowhere really.. It was when you started linking that things started to get interesting. I wont go into too much detail. However, the video below says what I would have said, but much better.
Rather interesting no?
Jan 16: A mile stone
Nowadays, a 40GB, that's 1000 times bigger, may just be big enough for an office laptop with nothing extra added, by extras, I mean anything other than an office application, maybe Firefox browser, you are using that and not that Internet Explorer 7 excuse of a browser? Anyway, 40GB ain't going to get you far and in no short time will you be looking to get a bigger one. As for home PC's well they now come standard with over 200GB, you know, the multimedia PC's, with a TV on board, allows you to use your PC as recorder. You get the idea.
Well, now we have moved on to the next mile stone, say welcome to the Terabyte harddisk drive! Yep,that's the next step. Want to see what it looks like? yep, that's it below... exxxxciting!
Oct 28: Funny Mice
This one really grabbed my attention by the way in which you hold the mouse is completely different than normal. From the review above, it is also very easy to learn how to use it. As you can see from the animation it kind of clips on to you hand, you operate it via a tracker ball.
The only downside of this mouse is that it's kind expensive ($130)( see for US prices )
If that's too pricy you can get a good laser mouse chez logitech.
