Nov 5: Winds of Change

It's been a long night, an even longer nightmare for the world, 8 years to be exact. Thanks to the youth of the USA, who have woken up, were inspired,  that they can change their president, that they can change the world, that they have the power to make changes. Thanks for making the change. Only on the 20th of Jan 2009 will we all wake up from the nightmare that was George W Bush. Someone who just couldn't, shouldn't have taken the role of president. I have always believed that he was actually a puppet. and Dick Chaney was the real president.

Lessons to be learnt? That religion and politics really do not mix, I don't have problem with people believing in religion, I'm pretty agnostic, but believe, let live, we all share this small planet somewhere in what we know as the universe, so why can't we, you know, just get along? Naive maybe, but we really do only have one planet.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, just super glad that Obama has won. There was a song that came out at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. I think it's a good one for today, maybe the lyrics aren't 100% correct, but the feeling is most certainly there.

Oct 25: Wasssup man!

Wassup 2008 style, keep it real!

Hopefully, the folks on the otherside of the pond also want change, by the looks of it, the do.

Aug 10: And it finally stopped raining

I haven't blogged, commented on the going ones in London, or the tech stuff. I didn't even comment of FF 3 being released last month sometime. If you haven't got it, I can only recommend it. I have been testing it from it's early days, when it wasn't even safe to use it, but that's me, living on the bleeding edge of technology. I have heard that for some people it crashes all the time, I haven't been able to see these systems, so I cannot comment. But if they say it crashes for them, then I have no real option but to believe them. But I would like to know why. That will be for another occasion.

The great auspicious day 08/08/08, one good thing about that, is it works on what ever calender system you use, be it European or US. We now have end to end coverage of the Olympics from China, the opening was, as you would expect, pretty good, I can't say it's the best in the world, it's the best one yet, London will have to pull something bloody amazing out of the hat, one would be that it won't cost more than the £9billion ! I bet it will end up costing more. Not really for me to worry about.

Summer has gone on holiday for this week-end. But one thing when there is rain, there is pretty much likely be a rainbow to follow, and it didn't disappoint. check the image below,

Mar 31: Ahh lets just waste it all!

So sod this stuff about global warming, bahh humbug! Burn, over use everything! that's the way to go these days! So what if the grand kids have nothing but sand and rocks. Who goes to the North Pole to see the Ice? Cold, windy, useless place anyway. Dark for 6 months of the year, useless place really isn't it. Why not have it as a place where you can windsurf, or water sky around the pole ? Ya useless place really.

Yep, no chance in hell to sort out any of the world issues with this kind of educated people? Or are they educated? Looks like it's a suitable situation if your a politician. These one, I guess all watch Fox News or something else of low caliber.

Feb 27: Earth Quake in the UK

Big News! There was a Huge earthquake here in the UK, many chimney stacks knocked of roofs. Pandemonium, as bricks hit the pavements when nobody was there. Some one could have been hurt.  Cars could have been crushed under the weight of 10 bricks. Oh yes, it was lethal some newts were woken up.

Yes, that's roughly how the media has reported it. but really nothing much happened, and yes, I did feel it last night, thought it was a rather big underground train (I live just over the northen line link between Kennington to Waterloo. so, wow!

For more information check what the BBC said.

Oh and yes, this has nothing to do with Global warming.

UPDATE:

Looks like earthquakes around the area of Mrket Rasen, there have been quite a few more over the past few years. Check out this link from the British Geological survey.

Feb 15: OK, here in the UK we got rid of him

Yes, we got rid of him, rather he buggered of with the longest good bye. Rather boring 40 days, but we were happy to see the back of him. Who's he, I hear you ask? You mean you don't know? It was our lovely (puke) leader, Tony Blair. Now, we the voters of the UK didn't have the pleasure of kicking him out, he buggered of to Save the middle east!? Save the middle east? for crying out load, he made a bad situation worse than before. Not only has he not been very good at bringing peace to the middle east.

So why am I talking about this political loser? Well, some people in the EU, think he is just the man to take up a newly created job of 'President of the Europpean Union' Jesus! How bleedin' mad are they ? the least you can do, is sign a petiton to tell the Euro MP's saying that really shouldn't allow a person who believes that the voices in his head is God!

So, click in the image and sign the petition.

Vote to prevent Blair Being President of the European Union

Oh and to read more about it go to this site www.stopblair.eu.

Feb 11: How much of a geek are you?

After many years, well. well over the usual 20 yrs. Just a note on the 20yrs,  When you, well, if you channel hop on one of those nights or days when there is nothing on, and you fall on one of those shopping channels. The experts there always have 20yrs experience, not that I watch those channels you know.

Anyway, I was challenged to a quiz to determine how much of a geek I am, Obviously, I took this with great gusto, and happily found that I wasn't that geeky. Only 60%. SO, fellow reader(s) how geeky are you!

60% Geek

Feb 9: Updated Theme

A new year, a new theme, OK, I know it's Feburary, but January was went by far too fast. So, what to do think ?  I like it, It's clean, a bit nippier but that's all relative to how fast ones internet access is.

So, so far this year, not much has happened, I'm still waiting for the Canon 450D not yet out, but I'm not deperate enough to came for a week out side some local camera shop, like some fools fo for getting a crap mobile phone, you know the one, that ipod with a phone bulted on, yep the iPhone. You can of course see some of the photo's that I have been taking over the past, with various degrees of success, from a film camera, those throw away ones, to mobile phones to a borrowed Canon 400D over at my gallery, (link above)

Other than that, not much, I may write about some Bishop who thought it might be a bright idea to kind of suggest that it may be unavoidable that we should have religious laws to be included in a Non-Secular legal system. I think this will not happen.

That's all folk(s) :-D

Oh and Ireland lost against Frence in the Rugby... Boo, just 5 mins more and I guess we could have done it.
