Nov 9: Polls And Missing Numbers
Following on from BlairWatch Tomorrow (or later today ) is when Blair will have to survive a vote for whether or not to allow the Police to hold people for upto 90 days.
I do not think that this is needed, for several reasons.
1: Where is the control and who decides?
2: There are other ways of getting the information
3: Will it help the already bad situation that the UK is viewed by the people who are most likelty to be affected by this law.
To expand my points.
1: The Police only need to say, We arrest you under the anti-terrorist laws, once that is said, you are pretty much up shit creak. An example can this can be found here on the Guardian Unlimited This person was doing something that most of use take for granted, we have our walkman/ or Ipods, MP3 players, Mobile phones and will play with them while we are waiting for as in this case, a train to arrive.

Nov 8: Should Parents Have The Right To Know.
This post was prompted by BBC NEWS| Mother calls for abortion review .
In brief, a 50yr old mother who had an abortion 20yrs ago and regretted having it, wants the law to be changed where by teenagers (younger than 16) will not have the right to have an abortion without the parents knowing, which is the case at the moment.
I am sure that there are thousands of women who have had an abortion and have later regretted it. The issue here is not that the parents have a right to know. If there is a stable loving relationship with parents and children, then the child will tell the parents of their problems or will have the emotional strenght to sort these problems also I could speculate that these children wouldn't get pregnant in the first place.
The cases where the child will keep this information from the parents are numerous, family issues, social issues, broken family, violence and maybe who the father is. In these cases if the doctor tells the mother, then they could inadvertantly put the life of that child in danger. Children will and do censor information from the parents from a very young age, there are reasons for this.
1: They know what makes the mother happy and will avoid telling things that they know will cause conflict.
2: They are in a social background where children are just not listened too, so what's the point in telling.

Nov 5: Grandpa gets sued $600,000!
Ok, so he let his grand son download 4 films from the internet. The kid didn't really understand that it was illegal, anyway, they did have fully legal copies of the 4 films. So was the action completely illegal?
The films in question were "The Incredibles," "I, Robot," "The Grudge," and "The Forgotten" Personnally, I can't forgive the kid for downloading I Robot that was a seriously crap film, mainly a 1h2m comercial for a whole list of products (that I will not mention as I might get asked to pay up or shut up)
The Gudge, Cool film, strange and a rather odd story, basically the point of the story is that having a serious grudge can get you killed.
The Incredibles, Very fun film if you are into cartoons, good fun for both adults (who get the subtile jokes) and for the kids that splapstick humour.
The forgotton, have forgotten what that's all about. But I gather it has Demi Moore in it, nothing special.
Back to the Grand dad being sued, The entertainment industry has been trying since the days of napster (before it was bought out buy Roxio/Adaptec a few years back. The Industy makes a point of trying to sue it's own customers.
They try and put in some serious copy protection that can make your system complete venerable to hacker attack that is being activly exploited by virus makers. So Advice DON'T BUY ANY DRM Protected CD's From SONY BMG!!

Nov 3: Children, Just have a way of saying...
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales,
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small. The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".The teacher asked,
"What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".
A Kindergarten teacher: was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied,
"They will in a minute."
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out,
"And there's the teacher, she's dead." Read More

Nov 1: 400 Years Ago.
Not quite great as if you are in the UK, you have the famous (if we are to put it into todays terms) The celebration of what you could say was the first terrorist cell in the UK,. The members of this infamous gang of no do gooders were lead by a man who called himself Guido Fawkes or better known as Guy Fawke
That's him over there on the right. But if you notice there is something awfully similar with the yesterdays terrorist ( they all have a beard and dodgy hats on, but then that's not really being fair is it, twas a fashion of the time. Guy Fawkes or as he liked to call himself John Johnson to his mates was a catholic who really didn't like King Charles very much so decided that on the opening of Parliement in 1605 to bomb the houses of parliament with a few barrels of gun powder.
Guy or as he identified himeself, John Johnson, was caught in the act as we all know and because he was a catholic, he was cut up into many pieces and well, you know, all over the place. Read More
